Festive Cocktail Guide

Festive Cocktail Guide

With the festive season already in full swing we’ve put together a little cocktail guide featuring some of our tasty treats to share with your friends & family. From mulled cocktails & end-of-the-night tipples, to sexy, sparkling numbers we’ve got a bit of everything to compliment present opening, carol singing & family feuding!

Mulled Cider

Out here in the West Country we live & breathe apples & for those of you who aren’t so keen on mulled wine we’re sure will love this one. Spiced, warming & not too boozy means that anytime your hands are feeling a bit chilly is probably a good enough reason to knock one up - it is in our homes anyway! You can batch up a good portion & then re-heat to order (it should be good in the fridge for up to a week) or if you’re fancy & have a steaming wand on your coffee machine you can make to order.

Aperitivo Co Orange Triple Sec - 10ml

Bristol Syrup Co. Demerara Syrup - To taste

Cinnamon Stick - 1

Star Anise - 1

Clove - 1

Nutmeg - Dusting

Heat all the ingredients (except the nutmeg) until hot, but not boiling, with the steam wand on your coffee machine, & serve in a heatproof glass or mug with the cinnamon stick, a dusting of nutmeg & a wedge of orange.

Negroni Sbagliato

Recently going viral on TikTok, after Emma D’arcy was heard confessing it as her favourite cocktail, the Negroni Sbagliato is an equal parts bitter, sweet & sexy spritz which is sure to get everyone firing on all cylinders this Christmas morning. As the adults shepherd the kids down the stairs, in the typical melee of arms, legs & pure excitement, at the arrival of a certain Mr. Claus there are few better ways to get pep, & relaxation at the same time than whilst clutching the heady combination of Turin Sweet Vermouth, Venice Aperitivo & sparkling wine. Sbagliato may mean mistake but there’s no mistaking the deliciousness of this concoction.

Single Serve

Turin Sweet Vermouth - 25ml

Venice Aperitivo - 25ml

Sparkling Wine - 50ml

Add all of the ingredients in a large wine glass & fill it with ice. Garnish with a big orange wedge & enjoy!

Gingerbread Manhattan

Whether you’re decorating gingerbread houses with the kids, or downing gingerbread lattes during your last minute lunch-break shopping dash, the flavours of this little biscuit are sure to put you in the festive frame of mind! Our Turin Sweet Vermouth gets loads of those flavour notes due to the complex botanical profile & as a result mixes wonderfully with Bristol Syrup Co. Ginger Syrup & spicy rye whiskey to create this very grown up, smooth, evening tipple. Make them one at a time or batch them together & just store in the fridge for easy service at home & everyone’s sure to be happy this Christmas Eve!

Turin Sweet Vermouth - 50ml

Rye Whiskey - 25ml

Bristol Syrup Co. Ginger Syrup - 15ml

New Bristol Sour

Fluffy, silky & packed with flavour this one is a riff on a classic using some of our favourite local ingredients & packs a spiced cherry punch. Perfect for sitting by the electric fireplace in your grans house & playing Scrabble, whiling away the hours together with family. It’s easy drinking & easy making - two of our favourite things!

Single Serve

Circumstance Distillery Corn Spirit - 50ml

Lemon Juice - 20ml

Bristol Syrup Co. 1:1 Simple Syrup - 20ml

Egg White OR aquafaba (chickpea water) - 10ml

Turin Sweet Vermouth - 25ml

So there you go! A few little ideas to share with your friends & family. From all of us here at The Aperitivo! Co, a Merry Christmas & a happy new year, cheers!
